The bishop's residence was built at Fréjus around 370. The episcopal group is composed of various elements: the cloister, the provost's house, the cathedral (11th century), the baptistery built in the 5th century and the episcopal palace built at the beginning of the 14th century. The baptistery is octogonal. The cathedral is built in pink sandstone on the site of the original Merovingian cathedral, razed in 950.
